A New Benchmark for sustainable logistics
MAN Truck & Bus has released an impressive press announcement – and we are proud to be a core partner in this milestone for sustainable logistics. Together with MAN, VEGA is transforming outbound transport through our patented r2L Roadraillink technology, enabling a truly emission-free, intermodal supply chain.
A New Benchmark in Decarbonised Logistics
With the combined strengths of zero-emission rail transport, electric last-mile delivery and innovative loading technology, a fully electrified supply chain is no longer a vision – it is operational today.
Key Achievements at a Glance
- 11,000+ MAN trucks transported climate-friendly by rail since June 2023
- More than 10,400 tons of CO₂ saved along LionXpress routes
- 30–40 brand-new MAN trucks delivered every week via locally emission-free MAN eTGX
- Vehicle heights up to 4.2 m handled safely thanks to the unique r2L loading concept
- VEGA to expand its electric fleet with an additional 30–40 MAN eTGX by 2026
A Fully Electric Flow Through Rheine Terminal
At our terminal in Rheine, new MAN vehicles arrive fully electric by rail from Brzesko, Poland – and continue their journey fully electric on the road, delivered by VEGA’s eTGX fleet. The result is a seamless, end-to-end decarbonised logistics chain that sets a new benchmark for the commercial-vehicle industry.
Driving the Future of Outbound Logistics
This partnership demonstrates what next-generation logistics looks like:
- Smart intermodal concepts
- Full supply-chain electrification
- Close collaboration between OEMs and logistics innovators
We thank MAN Truck & Bus for the trust and shared ambition. Together, we are scaling “Electrifying Outbound” and moving the industry closer to CO₂-free logistics by 2030.
